b. Image Recognition (Third-Party APIs)

• Service Providers: Google Gemini Vision API
• Purpose: To identify objects in captured images and support vocabulary learning.
• Data Handling:
  • Processing is single-use and real-time.
  • Recognition results are returned immediately to the app.
• Data Retention:
  • WordsLeap does not store any images.
  • Google may retain request data for up to 30 days for security and abuse monitoring.
  • Images are not used to train models, unless you have explicitly opted in through a separate agreement.
